This life is more than I deserve, more than I could have ever hoped for. As I get the opportunity to write, to speak to others about my faith, and to travel, I wanted to give you a chance to see what it is like, how things come into being, and how the Lord is able to do amazing things. I hope you will enjoy this as we will be adding to this section over time.
Everywhere I go, a journal is with me, hoping that a moment of inspiration arises. In this section, you will see some of the various places where I have found inspiration to write and what stories came from those times and places. Above is the mountain house at Caraway Conference Center near Asheboro, NC. This is a retreat for pastors and each year, I spend about three days at the house writing sermons, having quiet time and devotional time, and writing. This year, I worked on A Belated Blessing, a project that I will be submitting the proposal on in April 2018. In the past, I worked on 30 Days of Thankfulness and A Midnight Clear at this house.
The people we meet along the way make the journey even more special. In this writer's journey, in my life as a pastor, I get to connect with incredible people and experience the amazing as we share the stories of how Christ has changed our lives and as we work together to minister to a broken world. You will see some of the people and learn some of the stories as we are all working together for something bigger than ourselves. Above is a picture of me and former Major League Baseball player Paul Byrd, after an interview we conducted for Prodigal Son Magazine many years ago.
